Erik van Vuuren is the new Magic Marine teamrider

International yacht racer Erik van Vuuren has joined the Magic Marine team. Erik is the most recent recruit to the select group of top performers in the world of competitive sailing.
Erik van Vuuren (39), 11-time Dutch champion, dominated the IRC and ORC competition in 2009 with team VanVuuren. As an independent advisor, Erik van Vuuren has also demonstrated that he has the enthusiasm to impart his know-how and expertise to others. He has established his own company, VanVuuren Sailing Consultancy, which specialises in enabling boats and their crews to achieve maximum performance. Erik advises on proper maintenance, the tuning of mast and sails, and even complete refits, such as the one recently carried out on E-mission, a Farr40.7 boat. Throughout the years, Erik has achieved national and international successes with different teams, through a well balanced combination of physical training, team training and boat handling.
Given his highly respectable track record on the national and international sailing circuit, it is no surprise that Erik has become a Magic Marine teamrider. This group of outstanding international competitors includes the popular Dutch Olympic champions Lobke Berkhout and Lisa Westerhof, Volvo ocean racer Bouwe Bekking, and Olympic champions Iker Martinez and Xabier Fernandez. Erik van Vuuren wants to achieve more than his already impressive sailing CV; his great ambition is to help raise the standard of Dutch competitive sailing to an even higher level.
Through its support, Magic Marine enables top sailors to continue to excel in their sport, while also demonstrating that the company’s sailing clothing can withstand the toughest challenges.
Both Magic Marine and Erik van Vuuren are looking forward to working together to help boost the performance of boats and crews to greater heights.
