Navtec Develops Anti-Torsional Stay

Navtec, the rigging solution of Lewmar Marine, has developed a small-size, anti-torsional stay. Ideal for use with genoas and flying sails on yachts from around 40 foot and above, the new stay is sized at a 7-ton break load.  

 

As the latest addition to Navtec’s proven range of furling cables, the stay features a strong, polyethylene cover for protection against moisture, UV, and chafe.

The new furling cable construction has been fully optimised following extensive in-house testing, and shows a marked improvement in torque transfer, resulting in faster, easier, more efficient furling.

With end fittings that have been designed for interface with all the popular furler manufacturers, who have supported the development by carrying out their own in-house evaluations, the Navtec Anti-Torsional Stay integrates effortlessly with a number of set ups.
