Richard MacalisterMANAGING DIRECTORRichard set up Kiwi Yachting Consultants in 1988 after being one of New Zealand's first professional racing yachtsmen. Richard sailed with Sir Peter Blake aboard Ceramco New Zealand in the 1981-2 Whitbread Round the World Race and followed that sailing with Geoff Stagg of Farr International in many of the great regattas and races around the globe winning the One Ton Cup, Southern Cross Cup, Kenwood Cup and the classic Sydney-Hobart. In addition was a long period crewing with Ed Baird on the International Match Racing Circuit. Having graduated from Victoria University in 1980 with a B Sc(Hons) Richard has set up a company around a sport that he loves. In recent times Richard has been the Commodore of the Royal Akarana Yacht Club helping assist with the development of the Sailing Academy and the introduction of the Platu Fleet in Auckland. Richard has a long history of cruising aboard the family yacht Nirvana whilst also owning and cruising three Elliott Tourers Collioure, Jackpot and currently the 1650 Celadon. Dean BarkerDIRECTORDean bought into Kiwi Yachting Consultants in 2008. Dean's commitment is currently to helping Emirates Team New Zealand win the next Americas Cup, however provides valuable support and leadership to the staff of KYC. His yachting CV is too long to list however as skipper of Emirates Team New Zealand is the current holder of the Louis Vuitton Cup and the TP52 MedCup. T. +64 9 3600 300 |

Russell CarterSales ManagerRussell joined the team in 1988, the year KYC was founded, as our Sales Manager, a role vital to building and retaining effective relationships with current and potential customers alike. Russell's focus is predominately on creating and maintaining sales into the OEM market. He has a background in sales and marketing, with qualifications in marketing from Victoria University, and over 20 years experience in the marine industry. Having spent time training at the Lewmar head quarters in Hampshire, England, Russell has built up a strong knowledge base on our brands as well as the marine industry in general. Isabel MacalisterSales & MarketingIsabel joined the team in 1996 and she is now responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing functions within the company. She has completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree from Massey University majoring in marketing. Marina ArnoldSales & MarketingMarina joined our team in 1999, originally as the Office Manager and after a short break overseas has rejoined us in the areas of sales & marketing. She is responsible for some key accounts and all our retail customers and working with them to make sure our product is well represented. Marina has a Diploma in Office administration and gained experience working as personal assistant to a company director for seven years and then owning and running her own business in NZ, followed by a four year period working and living in Switzerland. Blair GerrardService ManagerBlair joined the team in 1998 as our Service Manager, servicing all product groups. Blair completed a degree in boat building from Unitec in Auckland in 1998. He has an extensive knowledge base on Lewmar, Whitlock Steering, and Navtec Hydraulics, and has spent time training at Lewmar head quarters in Hampshire, England. Odion AlofokhaiWarehouse ManagerOdion joined the team in March 2006. He completed his University Education in Nigeria and he has previously worked in a Bank as an archive Supervisor. Peter WoolfElectronics Sales and ServiceWoolfy joined in November 2004. Although having gained a BEd (Hons) Woolfy elected to go sailing instead, working in Chandleries (specialising in Marine Electronics) and high tech Boatbuilding Yards between regattas. Woolfy was a Director and part Owner of a large Marine Electronics Business in UK, selling, installing, commissioning and servicing the full range of equipment from all the major manufacturers including Nexus and has completed training courses run by many suppliers. Woolfy worked with B & G as UK and Southern Hemisphere Sales Engineer/ Manager, before coming to New Zealand on holiday for a few weeks but never left. T. +64 9 3600 300 Ext. 777 |
